<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><em>Update</em></span> <span style="color: #000000;"><a href="http://www.cucs.org/ " target="_blank">Center for Urban Community Services</a> and the <a href="http://www.center4si.com/" target="_blank">Center for Social Innovation, Inc.</a>, in collaboration with experts in the use of CTI with families has announced specialized training for organizations that have received grants from the VA via this program.  <a href="http://www.criticaltime.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/family_cti_flyer.pdf" target="_blank">Details here.</a>  </span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.projecthopecharlotte.org/" target="_blank"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-488" title="Cmyk.236181720_std" src="http://www.criticaltime.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cmyk-236181720_std.jpg" alt="" width="228" height="90" /></a><a href="http://www.projecthopecharlotte.org/" target="_blank">Project Hope</a>, located in Charlotte, North Carolina has begun to implement CTI as part of a new initiative supported by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development’s <a href="http://www.hudhre.info/HPRP/" target="_blank"> Homelessness Prevention &amp; Rapid Re-Housing Program</a>, a short-term rental assistance program to help prevent and reduce homelessness.  The new program, part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, is compatible with CTI in its focus on helping individuals and families stabilize and maintain their housing with time-limited assistance, while developing long-term supportive connections in the community.  Project Hope staff received training from the <a href="http://www.cucs.org/" target="_blank">Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS)</a>.  CUCS, a large direct service and training agency focused on applying innovative approaches to meeting the needs of homeless persons, is one of two organizations that provides training in the CTI model.</p>
