CTI Peer Support in Portugal
In July the CTI Learning Collaborative – a monthly meeting of CTI practitioners, researchers, and community members – welcomed Manuela Silva to our meeting, where she provided a summary of a Portugal-based CTI project and future directions for human rights-based mental health policy in Portugal.
Manuela’s informative presentation was followed by a conversation with CTI Learning Collaborative participants. Many thanks to Manuela for sharing a vision of CTI and peer support, all about the research project, and important factors in the implementation of CTI.
Manuela is a psychiatrist and researcher at the Lisbon Institute of Global Mental Health. She is leading a research project on CTI and peer support for people being discharged from psychiatric hospitals in Portugal.
You can access the recording of Manuela’s presentation and presentation slides here.
The CTI Learning Collaborative meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 12-1pm Eastern Time. It is free to join and open to the public – join us! Registration required, register here.
