CTI Trainers Converge in Boston

On July 18 and 19, 2016, t3 (think. teach. transform.) and the Center for Advancement in Critical Time Intervention (CACTI) partnered to host the Critical Time Intervention Train the Trainer event. Experienced trainers and facilitators from throughout the United States and abroad traveled to Needham, Massachusetts to attend. The training was designed to prepare participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively train others within their respective organizations about the evidence-based practice of Critical Time Intervention (CTI). Topics covered included best practices for trainers, core components of CTI, what learners need to know about each phase of CTI, and practice opportunities demonstrating a “tell, show, do, apply” approach to facilitating learning. Incredible participation from the attendees filled both days with engaging and thought-provoking conversation. t3’s Director of Training, Ken Kraybill, and CACTI’s Director of CTI Global Network, Sarah Conover facilitated the training.

  1. Good Morning,

I read your article on this train the trainer event and was hoping to inquire if this is a routine training that you hold? I am the Community Support Specialsit for our agency and so I bring trainings back to our CoC which encompasses Long Island, New York. I believe this would be very helpful modality for all of our providers here to utilize. If you could reach out with any information you have, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you!

      Hi Allison,

I know this is an older post and that we spoke via e-mail, but I wanted to let you know that we’ll be sending out information soon about a Train the Trainer event in Washington, DC this summer. We also have an upcoming online training led by t3 that will begin in March; you can find the links on our website and social media.

      Thanks!
